2. Use of the Service

Village Cricket Badger provides tools for cricket clubs, teams, and players to view statistics, scorecards, player profiles, and related cricket data. You must use the service lawfully and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the service.

3. Accounts and Membership

Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Club owners and administrators are responsible for managing access to their club data and ensuring that invitations are only sent to appropriate individuals.

4. Subscription, Billing, Refunds, and Cancellation

Certain features are offered on a paid subscription basis. Fees are as displayed at the point of purchase and may be subject to change. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal linked from your account page. If you cancel, you will continue to have paid access until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused portions of a billing period unless required by law. Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted through the help pages.

5. Club Registration and Data Processing

When you register or claim a club, you confirm that you have authority to act on behalf of that club. You are responsible for lawfully sharing club member data with us and for ensuring that invitations and join requests are sent only to appropriate individuals.

For club-related player data, we act as a data processor and process that data only on your instructions. You, as the club owner or authorised administrator, act as the data controller for that data. Both parties agree to comply with applicable UK data protection law.

6. Data and Third-Party Sources

Match and player statistics displayed on Village Cricket Badger are sourced from third-party providers such as Play-Cricket. While we aim to present this information accurately, we do not guarantee that all data will be complete, correct, or up to date. API keys and third-party credentials are encrypted and stored securely.

7. User Content and Acceptable Use

You may upload or submit content such as player bios, photos, club logos, and ideas portal submissions. You retain ownership of your content but grant us a licence to host, display, and distribute it as necessary to operate the service.

You must not use the service to:

• Upload unlawful, offensive, defamatory, or discriminatory content.
• Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Attempt to access data or accounts you are not authorised to view.
• Disrupt the service, introduce malware, or carry out automated abuse.

We may remove content or suspend access if we reasonably believe these rules have been breached.

8. Intellectual Property

The content, design, logos, and software used on Village Cricket Badger are owned by or licensed to VILLAGE CRICKET BADGER LTD. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, VILLAGE CRICKET BADGER LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Account Closure and Data Deletion

You may request closure of your account and deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us through the help pages. We will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. Data imported on behalf of a club may be retained for as long as the club remains registered.

11. Age Restrictions

Village Cricket Badger is not intended for users under 13. If you are under 18, you must use the service with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. Club owners are responsible for ensuring that junior player data is shared lawfully.

12. Cookies and Analytics

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
